today i was buying alcohol on my way home and the guy asked me for id, so i pulled my passport out of my insanely large jacket pockets without paying much attention and handed it over
and he looked at me weirdly, which made me kinda uncomfortable, so i was like, “yeah, people usually think its odd that i carry my passport with me” and laughed awkwardly a little
but he kept looking at me, like staring right at me
and then said “this isn’t a passport”
and i looked down and in his hands, instead of my passport, was my copy of the communist manifesto
